Watchdoc ScanCare - Configuring a scanning profile - Presentation
Scan profile principle
A scan profile comprises all of the settings that characterise the scan action started using Watchdoc ScanCare:
-
Input: The type of input file and the data available when the scan is starte;
-
Processing: The processing performed during scanning (barcode recognition, image sharpening, character recognition, etc.);
-
Output: The type of output file produced after scanning;
-
Options: The settings relating to the device that the profile applies to and any additional functions such as e-mail notifications after scanning or fine adjustments to the scanning device.
The scanning profiles are designed by the Watchdoc ScanCare administrator. The administrator can therefore design a catalog of different profiles made available to, and selected by, users depending on their user rights and on the type of scanning to perform or on the type of device used for performing the scans.
The scan profile is the central component of the Watchdoc ScanCare configuration. It is therefore necessary to configure at least one profile to allow Watchdoc ScanCare to work.
